The Project

The Aciron team assisted a global non-profit consulting firm in implementing an enterprise knowledge management system. The goal of the project was to move the organization from a clunky document and project management system to a better collaboration platform that is user-friendly, easy to navigate and brings teams together. Read more to find out how we achieved the project goals and helped the client increase communication and security of their content.

The original knowledge management system was outdated. It was a commercial off-the-shelf system that was hard to navigate and difficult to customize. They needed to improve their document management workflow in order to help project teams organize documents and collaborate across teams efficiently.

Our Approach/Solution

After reviewing all the requirements, the Aciron team helped the client pick Microsoft SharePoint. This would be their new platform to build a Knowledge Management System. We started by defining and documenting the requirements. Then we helped the client prioritize such requirements so that users can begin to use the system early and provide feedback.

Our approach of continuous collaboration and storyboard reviews helped the client understand the key aspects of SharePoint. The client saw immediate results with broader adoption, efficiency within project teams, and overall satisfaction with the new intranet. The Aciron team continues to work with the client to provide support and make improvements as needed.
