The Project

A Boston-based health department was in need of a database-driven web application to report participant information, manage information from participants and volunteers, and generate automatic emails. Ultimately, their specific needs called for a custom software database application.

The Challenge

Aciron needed to create a system that would integrate both the needs of administrators as well as end-users. The system had to obtain accurate and secure data capture and enable consistent management capabilities. In addition, due to the confidential nature of the information, security was of utmost concern.

Aciron worked closely with the department to identify and document key requirements and develop a series of process flow diagrams and storyboard mock-ups. These documents enabled the client to view the application layout and provide feedback along the way. After the system’s design and functionality were finalized, Aciron created a plan to develop and implement it.

Custom Application

Aciron developed a custom application web-based database that enabled the client to efficiently manage volunteers, documents, and participant information.
