A large U.S. retailer, specializing in work and healthcare apparel and footwear found that the business was underperforming in e-commerce sales. The organization was also experiencing inefficiencies in its web and technology investments, resources, and overall processes. In an effort to identify and resolve such issues, the organization contacted Aciron to perform a thorough web and IT audit. Aciron would also analyze the current company’s web and technology initiatives. As a result, the company was looking for Aciron to identify major issues and areas for improvement, and implement actionable recommendations to resolve such issues.

Aciron conducted an in-depth current state analysis to gain a thorough understanding of the company’s pain points and current processes. Working directly with the CEO, Aciron conducted extensive individual interviews with key stakeholders from the company’s various departments. Aciron and the client discussed current relevant areas such as web and technology processes, resources, and personnel in order to gain an understanding of the client’s current state and needs.

Aciron consultants worked collaboratively with the client to perform an inventory of the company’s existing IT vendors, systems, resources, and overall IT environment. The assessment served to evaluate whether the firm’s technology investments and resources were performing optimally. Additionally, Aciron determined if the resources were properly aligned with the client’s long-term business goals. This assessment exposed concerns and risks, which allowed Aciron to pinpoint areas for optimization. Thus, ensuring that the client would derive the most business value from its technology investments.

Aciron conducted a requirements gathering session, which set the stage of the engagement. Aciron prioritized all findings according to the level of impact they had on the client’s ability to achieve its goals. Aciron and the client identified and analyzed gaps, inconsistencies, and issues. Furthermore, we compared findings with industry trends and best practices. This allowed Aciron to examine how the client’s web and technology processes and resources compared to competitors. 

Results:

Synthesizing all findings, Aciron then developed actionable and targeted recommendations based on our experience and industry best practices. These recommendations were aimed to streamline processes and increase overall efficiency.
