Each month, we highlight an employee from different departments of the company across the world, who will share with our readers a little bit about themselves and what it means to be a part of the Aciron team.
Today, Mary French, Office Coordinator of our Cambridge, MA office, tells us what it’s like to work at Aciron, how she makes sure everyone in our office is on the same page, and what she does when she’s not working!
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Andover, MA.
What did you do before you joined the Aciron team?
I graduated from Wellesley College with a major in French and a minor in Psychology. At Wellesley, I sang in an a cappella group and in the choir.
What attracted you to Aciron?
Aciron seemed like a dynamic work environment with a strong emphasis on creativity, collaboration, and personal growth. That was exactly what I was looking for in a workplace.
How would you quickly explain what you do?
I handle administrative tasks and facilitate effective communication throughout our office. Additionally, I provide support to team members, taking on or helping with various projects as needed.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Every day is different — there is no such thing as a typical day for me! Every morning, I take part in a daily status call with the development team in New Delhi, India. Following that, my day could consist of anything, whether it means performing marketing research, placing an order for office supplies, reviewing consulting projects, or creating content for social media.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
I love that my role allows me to work with everyone in the office and take on so many different kinds of work. I feel like I learn so much every day.
What’s your favorite part about working at Aciron?
I really appreciate the openness to new ideas that everyone shares here, as well as the dedication we all have to doing great work. Also, I love that everyone brings in snacks for the office so often — my coworkers are amazing bakers.
What’s your favorite thing about working in Cambridge?
I’ll never get tired of the view from up here on the tenth floor — especially at sunset.
What do you like to do for fun?
I’m currently working on becoming a better cook — I’ve really been enjoying trying new recipes, especially when they involve pesto or chocolate. I also like to spend my free time exploring the city, or watching movies if it’s too cold to go outside.
