Position Details

Aciron Consulting is seeking a talented Software Test Engineer to play a significant role in ensuring our client applications are developed and functioning to the highest standard. Working closely with project management, consulting, and development teams, you will be responsible for analyzing business and technical specifications, creating test cases, testing the functionality and design of client web applications, and proactively managing any problems that occur during testing to ensure applications are of the highest quality.

What will I be doing?

  • Working with project managers, developers and designers to prioritize testing and meet project deadlines
  • Developing and executing test plans
  • Designing and executing test cases for test plans
  • Reviewing software test cases and checking of the test cases
  • Keeping track of standards set by software testing authorities
  • Performing testing on design and functionality of software
  • Logging, analyzing, and reporting all defects and problems that occur during the test process
  • Performing test duties for regression
  • Using a tracking system to track reported problems with software
  • Implementing and participating in walkthrough of software

What do I need to hit the ground running?

  • Master of Computer Applications or equivalent
  • Knowledge of modern test methodologies
  • Knowledge of SDLC
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Knowledge in skills and in the use of technologies for detecting and tracking defects
  • Knowledge in concepts of databases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast, high-pressure and client-orientated environment
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in Microsoft SharePoint is a plus, but not required
