Position Details
The individual in this position plays a significant role during the testing process of the development phase of applications.
Primary responsibility includes analyzing business and technical specifications, creating test cases, testing the functionality and design, and covering all scenarios while testing. Candidate must be flexible, highly motivated, well-rounded, possess the ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond quickly to needs as they arise.
The candidate may be required to travel to client sites in US.
Responsibilities:
- Developing test plans
- Designing of test cases for test plans
- Creation of the test scenarios in which tests are carried out
- Reviewing software test cases and checking of the test cases
- Keeping track of standards set by software testing authorities
- Performing testing on functionality of software
- Reporting defects and problems that occurred during the test process
- Performing test duties for regression
- Using a tracking system to track reported problems with software
- Implementing and participating in walkthrough of software
Requirements:
- Master of Computer Applications or equivalent
- Knowledge of modern test methodologies
- Knowledge of SDLC
- Proven problem solving skills
- Knowledge in skills and in the use of technologies for detecting and
tracking defects
- Knowledge in concepts of databases
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
